What this site is
Handy Toolshelf is a collection of free, single-purpose utilities that run entirely in your web browser: a cups to grams converter, an entertainment snow day calculator, and a fantasy name generator. There are no accounts, no uploads and nothing to install. You may use the tools for personal or commercial projects (for example, converting measurements for a recipe you sell, or naming characters in a book you publish) at no charge.
Accuracy of conversions and content
The cooking weights used by the converter come from published sources — primarily the King Arthur Baking Ingredient Weight Chart and USDA data — and each converter page names its source so you can verify the figures. Even so, conversions are provided for general reference only. Home measuring varies (a scooped cup of flour is not a spooned one), sources occasionally disagree, and we may make mistakes. For anything where precision matters — professional baking, dietary or medical needs, commercial production — verify the result with a kitchen scale and a source you trust. Weighing ingredients is always more accurate than converting volumes.
Entertainment tools
The Snow Day Calculator is an entertainment toy. It does not use weather data, it is not a forecast, and its percentage is a score from a simple formula published on its page — not a prediction about your school, employer or local authority. Do not make decisions (travel, childcare, closures) based on it. School closure decisions belong to schools and officials, not to this website.
Generated names
The name lists and titles in the DnD Name Generator were written for this site. Names the generator produces are provided as-is; short names and common word combinations cannot be owned by anyone, and any resemblance to names in published works is coincidence. You are responsible for checking that a name you adopt is appropriate and available for your own use (for example, if you plan to trademark it).
