How the tools work
Every tool on Handy Toolshelf runs entirely in your web browser. When you type an amount into the cups to grams converter, enter numbers in the snow day calculator, or generate a name, the calculation happens on your device. Your inputs are never sent to us, never stored, and never saved in your browser (this site does not use browser storage for tool data). When you close the page, what you typed is gone.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, sign-ups or logins — there is nothing to register for.
- No tool inputs: conversions, calculator entries and generated names stay on your device.
- No selling or sharing of personal data — we have none to sell or share.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the web server that delivers these pages may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and operational purposes. These logs are not combined with tool inputs — tool inputs never reach the server at all.
Cookies set by this site
The site itself sets no cookies. The tools do not use cookies for anything, and there is no analytics or tracking code in the pages we serve.
Advertising and advertising cookies
Current status: this site does not display advertising. No ad code runs on any page today, and no advertising cookies are set when you visit. The four disclosures below are included now so that this policy is complete before anything changes: they describe how advertising cookies will work if and when advertising (such as Google AdSense) is switched on for this site. If advertising is enabled, this section applies from that moment, and the "last updated" date above will be revised.
