About Handy Toolshelf

Handy Toolshelf is a small collection of free web tools built on a simple principle: a tool should do its job on your device, not on a server somewhere. Every page on this site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. When you use a converter or generator here, the computation happens in your own browser — nothing you type is uploaded, stored or tracked.

How we handle data

We take sourcing seriously. Cooking weights come from published references — primarily the King Arthur Baking Ingredient Weight Chart, checked against USDA FoodData Central — and every converter page names its source. Where two reputable sources disagree (all-purpose flour is the famous case: 120 g vs. 125 g), we publish both figures and say which one the tool uses. Where a source doesn't give a number at all — a loose cup of brown sugar, a sifted cup of powdered sugar — we don't invent one; the page says so.

The D&D name lists are original writing. The snow day calculator's point system is published on its page in full, because a score you can't inspect isn't worth much.
